Color temperature again.

The white light we see is a mixture of different colours of spectrum. When certain object is heated such as metal, it will glow red then turns orange, yellow, blue and violet. The color change as the temperature increase. The red colour is the lowest temperature. The colour temperature is measured in unit called Kelvin. Candle will give about 2000Kelvin, sunrise between 2000K - 3000K, moonlight i2 4000K and daylight in afternoon is between 5000 - 6000K.

The eyes and brain can 'read' white object under different colours of light but the video camera cannot. In other word, every time we move from one light source to another we have to set the 'white balance' setting of the camera. Otherwise the picture we are shooting will show unnatural colour.
